In the spring of 2022, Andrew Bird shared with us one of the best albums in his discography: the introspective Inside Problems subtly blended pop folk, sumptuous classicism, soul and Velvetian accents in a surprisingly perky and fluid spirit.
This year, the whistling bird offers us a form of suite turned outwards: Outside Problems is instrumental, the voice like the whistlings of Andrew Bird intervene simply to discreetly complete a space left to the violin, the guitar and the bass. Recorded in the open air, the result is a disc of great freedom. The listener will perceive some details making the link with the previous opus, but here we are in the presence of a cosmopolitan work, which is sufficient in itself.
Outside Problems celebrates nature as much as the joy of improvising: nine tracks with playful soundscapes, which do justice to outdoors from all walks of life. Universal and tasty, to be listened to without moderation!
